Working Principle:Testing is performed by stacking sieves with progressively smaller mesh openings from top to bottom. A solid collection pan is placed at the bottom to catch all particles that pass through the finest sieve.
The Ro-Tap mechanism holds the sieve stack and performs a simultaneous circular shaking and tapping motion. This dual action improves particle stratification and helps each particle find its appropriate level in the stack. The shaking action moves particles across the screen surfaces, while the tapping motion promotes the passage of near-size particles through the sieve openings.
After a preset testing duration, the sieve stack is removed and the material retained on each sieve is weighed individually. From this data, percent retained on each sieve is calculated, allowing for accurate particle size distribution analysis.
